My question is about life trajectory. I very much see the purpose of marriage being to bear and raise children. Yet, I typically see girls around my age (I'm 23) wanting to go to college and pursue careers of their own. Not only is there never any mention of marriage or family, but I see on of my roles as a husband being the provider for my family. I simply don't need a woman who is able to provide for herself.
One other thing is that my gift is easily service to others. I enjoy helping others and stepping up in little ways wherever possible. So, naturally, I also want that samd servant-heart in a woman. Yet, the only ones I've seen these in (servant-heart, no real career ambition) are 16/17 and I think that's a bit too young.
Do you have any advice for this? Is there anything I should be looking for that might indicate a desire for family, even while she's maybe going to college and pursuing some occupational skill?

I don't know about focusing on what kind of man she wants me to be, I'm going to focus on the man God wants me to be, I was married to my wife she became saved way before I was, I did everything I could for her, worked hard for her, provided for her, stayed by her when she needed a shoulder to lean on, put Jesus Christ in the center of our marriage, I cooked, did laundry, watched out kids as she went to college, what does my "Christian" wife do, constantly complains what we didn't have, compared me to our single male neighbor admiring his car, hung out with her divorced friends, when I lost my government job, she told me she can't be with a man who works an any penny job, even though I worked 2 minimum wage jobs and still paid the bills, she ended up divorcing me, and abandoning my kids, raised my kids by myself with the help of Jesus Christ. 17 years later she still has nothing to show for her life. I love my children their a blessing, ex-wife.speechless , looking for a proverbs 31 woman. My time is valuable, and I don't have time to play with Christian women not grounded in the word.

Hey brotha, i just wanted to thank you, i needed this im going to be honest I've been a bit wild and got into worldly relationships and sexual relationships and one day i hit rock bottom hard and i found God and i found my girlfriend of one year she is very spiritual but the man i was a year ago i was thinking of her that way i got to know her more and more and i love her so much excuse my language but i feel like an asshole for trying to get with her sexually im getting closer to God and i want to be equally yoked with my women thanks again for this advice i been stuck in my worldly ways for to long its time to be a man of God and gain a beautiful relationship with God for me and for the sake of my wonderful girl….
