Vitamins are essential substances that our body needs in order to grow, develop normally and maintain its functions. This videos covers vitamins A, B, C and D and their functions in the human body, ways where we can obtain them in our diet and the health outcomes when there is a deficiency in our body. This video was created by a group of McMaster University students in a knowledge translation course for the Demystifying Medicine series: Soheil El-azzouni, Stanley Chen, Sara Halawa, Yuxin (Tiffany) Tian and Kimberly Young.

Don't waste your time. I spent 8/9 months on vitamins. What a waste of time and money. They are made by the pharmaceutical companies. They don't work. Get your vitamins in your food.

The word "Fruit" is already plural. Please, stop saying Fruits.
There is no such word in the American diction, and this word "Fruits" exists in foreign countries not here!

Vitamin A does alot more than "Vision" even helps greatly with the reproductive system. so in men Vitamin A could be good if you have a low sperm count and for women it helps during Periods. Vitamin D which more like a hormone than a vitamin helps in Regulation of Mood, Increases Testosterone levels too. Vitamin A and D should be taken together regularly. an amazing source is "Cod Liver Oil" in which you'd be taking 1 tea spoon daily. (because it's that rich in the two vitamins. taking more than 1-2 teaspoons a day could lead to Vitamin A toxicity)
Note: Women when Pregnant need a much higher Vitamin A Blood levels because Just like the Video said Vitamin A essentially builds cells. and another note is that Vitamin D will deplete your Vitamin A blood levels. so Most Health Professionals actually believe most people are Vitamin A deficient to some degree. so if you're a women and you're pregnant you might want to up your vitamin A and if you're a man and trying for a baby you might want to take Both Vitamin A & D. =)
i would like to also note i'm only some guy on the internet you should Talk to your Doctor and research for yourself. i just know the above because i enjoy working out and i find Biology interesting.
